Contact Sports is the official reseller for some of the most popular brands in American Football.


What does it mean?

Contact Sports sells products that are purchased directly from the manufacturer. We are official resellers who have direct contact with the manufacturer. We adhere to their requirements regarding warranties, product knowledge, and safety considerations.

Almost every year, we at Contact Sports travel to the USA to meet the manufacturers directly to discuss the market, products, and share ideas with each other. They value our opinions and knowledge regarding the Nordic market. That's why we have had a close relationship with many of these companies for over 20 years. Being a general agent for a brand also means that we are the only store in a certain area authorized to sell their products.

 

Riddell:

We have attended Riddell's training programs where we follow the development of their products, see their mindset regarding player safety in the construction of their products, and have the opportunity to influence and contribute ideas and suggestions based on our expertise as players, coaches, and, most importantly, equipment salespeople.

Annually, we review their products together with Riddell's headquarters, where we get a firsthand look at their new products developed for the NFL, college, high school, and international markets. We have also undergone their training where they meticulously go through how their products should fit and function as intended, both from an aesthetic and ergonomic standpoint, but above all, from a safety perspective. We are the only ones in Sweden, Norway, and Finland who have undergone these trainings and the only ones who purchase our products directly from Riddell. As we are general agents for Riddell, it means that we are the only ones authorized by Riddell themselves to sell their products in Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

 

Schutt:

Schutt makes changes to their products every year. Some years involve major revisions where they also change product names, while other years only have minor changes where they retain the same name and article number. Annually, we review their products together with Schutt's headquarters, where we get a firsthand look at their new products and the changes made to their existing products. Together with Schutt, we have followed the development of their products and seen their mindset regarding player safety in the construction of their products. We have a dialogue with Schutt regarding which of their products may be suitable for the Nordic climate and sports here in the Nordic region. We have also undergone their training where they meticulously go through how their products should fit and function as intended, both from an aesthetic and ergonomic standpoint, but above all, from a safety perspective. We are the only ones in Sweden, Norway, and Finland who have undergone these trainings and the only ones who purchase our products directly from Schutt. Since we are general agents for Schutt, it means that we are the only ones authorized by Schutt themselves to sell their products in Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

 

Xenith:

Since Xenith has a completely different technical solution than its competitors, we felt it was important to undergo their training to be able to recommend the right products to our customers in the Nordic region. Every time Xenith releases a new product or introduces an update to an existing product, we have a meeting where we review their changes and get a firsthand look at their new products. During our visits to the USA, we have undergone their training where they meticulously go through how their products should fit and function as intended, both from an aesthetic and ergonomic standpoint, but above all, from a safety perspective. We are the only ones in Sweden and Norway who have undergone these trainings and the only ones who purchase our products directly from Xenith. We have the general agency for Xenith. It means that we are the only ones authorized by Xenith to sell their products in Sweden and Norway.

 

Douglas:

Douglas is a classic company that is huge in the shoulder pad market, even if they operate somewhat quietly. Since Douglas specializes in shoulder pads at all levels but also has a large program for custom-made shoulder pads, we have been with them since their first shoulder pad. We have undergone their training where they have shown how their shoulder pads should fit and function as intended, both from an aesthetic and ergonomic standpoint, but above all, from a safety perspective. As we are general agents for Douglas, it means that we are the only ones authorized by them to sell their products in Sweden, Finland, and Norway.

 

X-Tech:

X-Tech is a relatively new brand that has made a big impact in the NFL and college. We met X-Tech at their first trade show when they were in the early stages, and even then, we felt it was a brand that would make a big splash in the NFL. However, since the price of their products was very high, we knew it would be difficult to establish it in the Nordic region but chose to invest in it anyway. We went through their concept, tested their shoulder pads, and received an overview of all the different combinations of their custom shoulder pads they offered. At that time, we became general agents for X-Tech, which means we are the only ones authorized by them to sell their products in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark.
